I've long believed Madden should get away from the DE/OLB moniker and just go with EDGE and LB positions especially considering most 4-3 Defenses primarily operate out of the Nickel nowadays. Teams, regardless of the scheme, should value an EDGE rusher all the same.

I don't like the fact that 3-4 OLB and 4-3 DE are valued based your scheme. I'll give credit where credit is due, good on the team for implementing these changes on the fly but ultimately, this still isn't enough.Įdit: I forgot to mention. League history isn't worth much if it only starts at the first year, or stats if it doesn't affect player's demands/progression. Revaluing players/picks doesn't mean anything if there isn't a legitimate morale system. The features they've added with these 3 updates are promising, but can become an issue quickly if they don't expand on the mode and add supporting features to these. I wish it wasn't just a foundation, but corporate EA put the devs in a terrible spot, and I recognize that. Ultimately, I'm happy they're laying a solid foundation for heavily requested features. There's been a lot of solid ideas posted here and on OS but if they're relying on the likes of streamers, I'm concerned. I'm glad to hear they have a continued commitment to the mode, but I'd like to know more specifics on who they're getting input from. Sean Graddy's comments weren't as inspiring as I'm sure they were hoping them to come across as. Praying they used something similar to the draft pick value calculator. I'm holding off on any sort of judgement till I can get behind the wheel. I'm curious how they revalued draft picks. All of the revised logic and valuation are MUCH needed, and I don't want to downplay it, but they need to add other features, and quickly, or there won't be any player movement outside of user controlled teams. I'm concerned they're making it harder to acquire legit talent, without a means of lowering the price (i.e. But they need to adopt other features to fully realize the updated logic. What I'd like to see added to this is:Īgain, trade logic is a step in the right direction. I'm sure we will still be missing historical records and such, but it sounds like they at least plan on having all past awards and Super Bowl winners. Hopefully in '22, it will be mostly fully realized. This league history feature is, again, a very solid foundation to much needed feature. it's a very promising move in the right direction. I really like the foundation they're laying here. Tuned value for great O-Lineman so they’re harder to trade for (Quenton Nelson, etc.)Īdded context for CPU to determine the value of an incoming player and if they’d be an upgrade or not. Modified player trade values so great players don’t randomly crater in value. (You have to wonder if this can be abused by 60-70 ovr rookies with star dev netting high picks). Trading for players with a good dev trait now costs more, and you’ll get more for trading one away. It doesn’t seem like there was any addition to allow players to trade more than 3 assets
